Our vision for African families

Our first mission trip was in Kenya Africa for a year. We traveled and ministered in 11 cities. As we lived, interacted and ministered in various locations, one particular need kept presenting itself. The need for teaching on family life was GREAT and in all the places we served, it had never been taught.

Our hearts were burdened and we cried out to God. It was then that He gave us this vision:

He said, “for many, many years, missionaries and mission work have come to Africa to help the orphans and widows. And that is good. There has been much work done to help the poor. And that is good. But I don’t want you to treat the symptoms anymore but to DEAL WITH THE ROOTS!”

What roots?

1) Unfaithfulness in marriage resulting in HIV which creates an endless flow of widows and orphans
2)Polygamy ( common in the cultures) also resulting in HIV. It is also a common among Christians especially in villages.

As for poverty?
-It is not hard to figure out that a man with 2 or 3 wives and children from them all, will often struggle financially to care for his family thus increasing poverty.
The Lord impressed on our hearts that we could see a change in this generation and generations to come if we will start teaching His Word as it relates to family.

Now, we lived in Kenya that year of 2011 and taught on what God had revealed to us. In that one year alone, we saw a tremendous change in families!
Since returning from that initial trip, we have prayed waiting for the right time to return and set up an ongoing ministry to the African families. We finally think it’s time!

But we can’t do it alone. We need your help. Will you consider partnering with us on a monthly basis for a gift of $20; $30, $50; $100; $200 or more?

Our desire is to also be taking families to Africa for short or long term missions. Because we saw first hand the fruit born from us teaching the Word, but also from them just watching our family live life. We are excited to see how many lives would be impacted when other families join our family on the mission trip!
If you would be interested, please let us know.

Finally, the Lord has asked us to share the vision. Feel free to share with those you desire.

If you, your family, small group, church or business would like to partner with us and help sponsor this work. Contact us and we will be glad to serve the King of Kings with you.

US road trip 2016

It has been a busy but wonderful couple of months.  We are on the road again. Currently across Southern US during the winter and God willing, across Canada in the Spring and Summer. What a journey it has been! Thank you to all who prayed with us for a travel trailer. The Lord miraculous provided. We will share about that beautiful testimony in another post. We have been on the road just over 2 weeks now and we are seeing God literally order our steps to places we have not been before; to people we have not known before and do amazing things in us and through us and in those He brings our way. Let me briefly share one of those God stories. We are now at a camp in the Sacramento, California,  area. We have been here for a few days and had been wondering where we will go to church on Sunday. Then the Lord clearly spoke to us and said,”do not look for a church to attend , you hold a service here at the park, there are people I want to reach out to.” Ok Lord! He of course orcastrated it and we had worship time here at public camp grounds by the picnic area. One of our sons played the drum, joined by one of the campers who plays guitar and we lifted up our voices to the One who is WORTHY.  After, Pitana shared the Word the Lord had laid on His heart and we concluded in prayer and fellowship.  Wow, that is the God we serve! One of the ladies who attended said,”this was so good, we have been dry.” it had been over a month since they had been at church. God knew that of course and went out to reach out to all who came. All do not currently attend church. There is no boundaries God will not go past to reach His own who have been beat,  bruised and left hanging dry, to reach.  What a wonderful Shepherd we follow.  Please continue to pray for us to keep hearing His Voice and follow, wherever He leads.

Our last mission trip to Africa

So, we have been praying and believing God to go Africa soon. Since Africa is on our mind, we wanted to share briefly with you about our last mission there 2011-2012. While in Kenya, the Lord opened to us a door of the gospel to all groups of people. We ministered to children; the youth in church; high school students in boarding school; many congregations; church workers and leaders; families; men; women; young couples as well as single parents! In many of these groups we saw many salvations; recovery of many from backsliding; healing of marriages; deliverance from witchcraft and so on… to this we say,”to the immortal, invisible, the only wise God be glory forever and ever.”

Please join us in prayer as we believe God to prepare us, provide for all needs and to see him work in us and through us in Africa to see many receive Jesus as their Lord and the body of Christ edified.

Thank you.
