All in

A few days ago, we returned from a short trip. The Lord had asked us to go and spend time with a family we have been discipling for a few years now. What a joy to see all that the Lord has done in their lives! When we first met them, they loved Jesus and were zealous for Him yet were as they put it “religious.” Not believing in the work of the Holy Spirit, they had been led in many errors and were suffering for it. Presently, they (including their children) have been filled with the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:4; 19:1-6) and are walking in the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is leading them into many truths and setting them free. They are witnessing and discipling others; laying hands on the sick and seeing them recover etc. They are now planted in wonderful church. Praise be to God! What tremendous joy and peace they have now!

When the Lord asked us to go see them (3 1/2 hr drive), we had no funds for the trip. But being convinced that God wanted us to go, we took some of our grocery money and went on the trip, trusting God to take care of all our needs when we return. We had a good time edifying one another in the Lord. When we had accomplished all that we felt the Lord sent us there for, we packed up and got ready to leave. Meanwhile their pastor called and asked if we could meet up with him briefly on our way back to our home. We met up with him and he handed us an envelope with enough money to cover the expenses of the trip. Isn’t God so good!

God’s working doesn’t always make senses to us. But I pray that you and I this coming year, we will resolve to truly obey Him in whatever way He leads us. 2016, let’s seek to store up our treasures in heaven where moth and rust do not corrupt and where thieves do not break through and steal. (Matthew 6:20)

Abundance of bread!

At this time of the year, I sense many people having a lot of anxiety. How do I pay for this and that? You know God commands us not to be anxious. You may say, “but you don’t know my bills or my current situations.” That’s why I wanted to share this testimony with you. We hope it encourages you in whatever you are facing today.

Last summer, our fridge was almost empty. We had been praying for food, gas etc. We had just under $50. We agreed and decided to sow all of that money we had into a certain ministry. Within that week, we reaped close to $1500 (Luke 6:38; Galatians 6:7). Before we had made it to the grocery store, we received a phone call from our friends asking if we wanted bread. A very good organic bakery had changed their recipe and was giving away hundreds of loaves of bread. How many loaves did we want? Wow!! Well, we took 75 loaves ; plenty for us and enough to share with others! Our freezer was full and so was the fridge. Glory be to God! Usually such bread a loaf sells between $3.99 and $5. God is so Good.

So, whatever is troubling you today, why not take time to talk to God about it? Why not ask Him for what you need? Often we limit God to our paycheck, thinking that if I am going to have my needs met, it is going to be through that check. The scripture says that we have not because we ask not.(James 4:2) Why not try to ask Him specifically for that need and leave it up to Him how He chooses to meet your need. Be also sure to listen and obey, just in case He has instructions for you.

God bless you as you seek Him today in Jesus’ name. Amen

Our last mission trip to Africa

So, we have been praying and believing God to go Africa soon. Since Africa is on our mind, we wanted to share briefly with you about our last mission there 2011-2012. While in Kenya, the Lord opened to us a door of the gospel to all groups of people. We ministered to children; the youth in church; high school students in boarding school; many congregations; church workers and leaders; families; men; women; young couples as well as single parents! In many of these groups we saw many salvations; recovery of many from backsliding; healing of marriages; deliverance from witchcraft and so on… to this we say,”to the immortal, invisible, the only wise God be glory forever and ever.”

Please join us in prayer as we believe God to prepare us, provide for all needs and to see him work in us and through us in Africa to see many receive Jesus as their Lord and the body of Christ edified.

The courtship of God

This morning I would like to share on how God designed a way to bring us back to Him. When Adam sinned, the Lord had to put him out of the garden, away from Him. Yet right away He started to devise a plan to bring man back in fellowship with Him. The Bible says in 2 Samuel 14:14 : ” yet He devises means so that the banished be not expelled from Him”. We see right away in the Old Testament the Father as God who was above us, who had to come to the patriarchs and to Israel through the prophets courting them but from afar. This is like a man who is interested in a virgin and he starts to send letters through his friends to her showing interest. It can also be seen as a long distance relationship where it is by email or phone only. Next we see this relationship go to the next level, where we see God with us (Emmanuel) coming near to live among us and sympathize with us and be born of a woman and grow like us and walk the dusty roads and be tempted in all  things as we. This is like the man taking the relationship to the next level. Now they are allowed to see each other face to face and talk more. Jesus as God with us and God in the flesh came to have face to face talks with man and to convince him by infallible proofs that He still loved him. So what does He do but to go on the cross and die for him to show His love not just in word but also in deed. Next we move to the next stage, where we see the virgin moved  by the actions of the man, mankind moved by the action of their maker, that He should die for them and so they now open the door for Him to come back for good in fellowship with them. This is where we see God’s last stage, where as the Holy Spirit, He is God in us, we are convinced of His love and care for us and we want Him in, we open the door to Him and invite Him to come and dine with us. Hopefully this will help you see the Bible with a new set of eyes and see that God has been after you all along. Father we pray that you will open our eyes today to see you as you are and welcome you in our lives in Jesus name. Amen.
