The work remains!

Dear friends,

So much has happened since we left Ottawa in June, I will try to summarize. We were blessed to spend time with precious friends and family in Oakville and Hamilton. Pitana preached that Sunday in my brother’s house and we spent time teaching on some Bible doctrines; answering the questions that they had been seeking answers for. What a priceless moment the Lord gave us in allowing us to worship with my brother and his family for the first time- you know my brother and I used to be Muslims. It was a great joy as cousins played and we encouraged each other in the Lord. Both our families were tremendously blessed. Praise be to God!

Next, we headed to Niagara Falls. This time we got to see the Falls without the snow! We were hosted by a precious family who previously hosted us in January and whom we ministered to. What tremendous wonderful change had taken place in this family since our last visit. It was like seeing a new family; one that is completely on fire for God- there aint no stopping them! Pitana and I rejoiced greatly. Our hostess said, “I know you don’t always get to go back and see the families you’ve ministered to; look at us, I want you to know that you changed our family.” God is sooo good! He is the One who can change anyone for good. But He looks for people like you and I to work through.

‘’And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, here am I send me.’’ Isaiah 6:8

We are thankful for the souls that have been saved and many of the Believers who have been encouraged to go deeper in God through this road trip we have been on. A friend said to us, “you are fire starters,” and truly we thank God for the reviving work He has done everywhere He has sent us. And as a family, we are enjoying a revival ourselves!

We are now drawing near the end of this extended road trip and we are more aware of the work that still remains. “Truly the harvest is great but the labours are few.” We realize that not everyone can go as we go. But everyone can help in this great harvest.

“How then shall they call on Him whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?  And how shall they preach, except they are sent?” Romans 10:14-15.

While in Mildand, TX, a certain Missions Pastor got to know the work we do in ministering wherever God sends us and he encouraged us to share with you all. He said to us, “not everyone can go, share with your friends and family and give them an opportunity to participate with you in this work of God by financially partnering with you. ”

We realize, the work is too great for just our family alone. There are many “ends of the world” we have not reached, while those we have reached, we have not yet returned to follow up.

So today, we ask you to pray and see how you can partner with us in this work of reaching SOULS.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Meanwhile, we plan to be in BC by next week God willing. We are still praying and looking for a house. If you have any leads, please let us know. As for the van, it is driveable, but the engine is still burning oil, giving off smoke because the van is so old with many mileage. So we are still praying for another bigger van.

Thank you for praying for us,

Pitana & Nadia

All things!

Hello friends

I invite you today to be like a child for a moment as we look into God’s word. The faith of a child believes the word of God because it is the Word and because we know that it is impossible for God to lie(Hebrews 6:18). The bible says also that let God be true but let every man be a liar (Romans 3:4). All things means all things isn’t it. The bible says that the Spirit of truth, when He comes, He will lead you into all truth(John 16:13) and in another passage it says that the Helper, the Holy Spirit, He will teach you all things. (John 14:26)  Now I beg of you, pause for a moment and think about those words. Have a selah moment. Has the Spirit of truth come to you? If not, take this minute and ask Him to come. This scripture like the rest of God’s word changed my life, it removed every limitation I placed on God and myself. He can teach me all things??? There is no limit of what i can ask him, what i can learn from him. That is heaven on earth. I think sometimes we read the bible too fast and we don’t stop to think about some statements that it makes. Let us look at another one. The bible says that you have an anointing from the Holy one and you know all things.(1 John 2:20)  Now if i told that to my children, they would just believe it. And the bible said that blessed is she that believed because there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.(Luke 1:45) The proof of true faith is that there is a performance of those things that we believed when God said them. I pray this day that the Lord will give all us faith that of a child which is not crowded with doctrines and commandments of men; faith that sings that old hymn which says: “God said it, I believe and that settles it for me.” With this I can assure you that your knowledge of God himself and his word will grow exponentially, when you decide to keep it simple as a little child. Father give us the grace to believe your word in Jesus name. Amen.

The power of faith!

Hello friends,

My encouragement today comes from the book of Matthew 15:28 which says: O woman, great is your faith, be it unto you as you will”. Notice that until Jesus remarked that great was her faith, it could not be as she willed. If she had great faith, you can have great faith too. Great faith is the highest of all faith we read in scripture. We read of no faith, little faith, strong faith, then great faith. Of all of these, the only one that amazes Jesus is great faith. Looking carefully at this scripture, we see plainly what great faith is. It is nothing else but perseverance, not giving up, telling God that He is our only way out. We see this great faith in Ruth who refused to let her mother in law Naomi go back by herself, we see in Jacob wrestling with the angel of God  all night and saying i will not let you go until you bless me. Scripture has plenty of examples to encourage us about great  faith. If you will arrive to this kind of faith, then it will be as you will, because His will becomes your will. You have gone through the process of proving to God that He is your only way out. You did it as you moved from no faith to little faith to strong faith to great faith. Elijah the prophet is a good example of a person who had arrived to such a place. In 1 Kings 17:1 He declared that there would be no dew or rain except according to his word. Not God’s word but his word. And it happened as Elijah said. God trusted him so much that what he said God honored it. In the next article we will look at how to build ourselves to this kind of faith. I want to hear Jesus say: O Pitana, great is thy faith, how about you? Father, we want to amaze you by our faith and be pleasing children of yours. Help us and teach us and bring us to that place of great faith I pray in the name of your son Jesus. Amen.
